The notion of redesigning wireless propagation conditions using Intelligent Reflective Surface (IRS) has evolved to answer the demand for green and resilient future cellular networks. It is a realistic alternative to use intelligent surfaces that can be reconfigured (RISs) to increase the coverage as well as data throughput of wireless networks in the future. These surfaces are made up of a large number of passive as well as nearly passive elements that interact with incoming signals in an intelligent manner, such as by illuminating them, to improve the effectiveness of the wireless framework, giving rise to the concept of a smart broadcasting environment. The study sought to increase coverage for services using IRS in micro-cellular transmissions. As a result, the article examined the effectiveness of IRS-enhanced small cellular communication in regards to downstream throughput while taking into account the 6G cellular context.
