The equations system of heat and mass transfer that govern the drying process forpine wood was simulated with finite element method, using the model proposed byLuikov (1966). Profiles of moisture potential and temperature were obtained andanalyzed at different drying times and positions on the sample. Also a sensitivitystudy of moisture non-uniformity was carried out over the parameters presentsin the boundary conditions. It shown a prediction for profiles of moisture non-uniformity for ranges of the more influential boundary conditions parameters.
