We invite you to share your research with the community by posting it online as a preprint. Our sister company, Research Square, is a trusted preprint platform that lets you get credit for your research early, increase your citations, and get feedback from the community.
Submit a preprintJournal publication takes on average 150+ days. Preprints are assigned DOIs, which make them citable and allows you to get credit for your work before publication. You can cite your preprint in a grant application or include it in the tenure review process.
A recent study found that articles posted as preprints before publication attract more citations and online mentions than those without preprints.
Share your work early and receive feedback from your peers and colleagues to improve your paper.
As soon as your DOI is coined, your work is timestamped. Anyone who copies it will be plagiarising and will not be able to publish their work.
Many journals allow and even encourage posting a preprint prior to submission. A list of journal policies can be found on Wikipedia and SHERPA/RoMEO. Consult these lists and your target journal’s author guidelines before submitting your preprint to ensure a smooth path to publication.
We do not accept literature reviews, hypotheses, opinions, theories or commentaries.
